International Yoga Day was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm by the students and teachers from Infant Jesus Convent School in the premises of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran. The collaborative celebration beautifully embodied this year’s theme, "Yoga for Self and Society", fostering unity and wellness across schools.
The morning began with an enlightening assembly, where the importance of yoga for physical, mental and emotional well-being was discussed. Students and teachers from different schools gathered together for a rejuvenating yoga session. Under the guidance of a certified instructor, participants practiced various asanas, pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation techniques, promoting harmony and mindfulness. The presence of Infant Jesus School’s faculty added a unique dimension to the event, highlighting the spirit of togetherness and shared learning. Younger students were engaged in interactive yoga activities while older participants focused on more advanced postures. The event concluded with a collective pledge to embrace yoga as a lifelong practice for a healthier and balanced life
